An Update on NRC’s Print Resources
March 6, 2019

As we’ve shared in recent updates, the NRC is excited to now be housing a full range of popular early years nutrition resources:
- Healthy Eating for a Healthy Baby (previously available from Best Start Resource Centre)
- Feeding Your Baby (previously available from Best Start Resource Centre)
- Eat Right Be Active: A Guide for Caregivers of Toddlers 12 – 36 Months
- Eat Right Be Active: A Guide for Caregivers of Preschoolers Ages 3 – 5
- Eat Right Be Active: A Guide for Caregivers of Children Ages 6 – 8
We are now happy to be offering print copies of the above resources to support your work. Orders can be placed on our e-commerce website, Food and Health Today. Please note that there is a minimum order of $15 (10 copies), not including shipping and handling charges.
Thanks in part to feedback from our stakeholders, we also plan to begin offering high-resolution, print-quality digital files of some of our lower-demand resources. This will include How to Feed Your Growing Child (English and French editions) as well as the French editions of Feeding Your Baby and Healthy Eating for a Healthy Baby. We hope to have these available for purchase by the end of May.
Lower-resolution digital copies of all NRC resources, suitable for web viewing, will continue to be available for free on our website at the current time.
As we shared in an earlier update, we recognize that these resources, among others, may need to be revised in light of the new Canada’s Food Guide released this year. We also recognize that the healthy eating patterns to be released from Health Canada later this year may have an impact on the revision of our resources. For this reason, we are waiting for this further information to be available before we begin the planning process to undertake these revisions.
If you would like to be involved in future revisions to these resources, or if you have any other questions or concerns, please contact Sylvia at sblack@opha.on.ca.
