The Nutrition Resource Centre is now Nutrition Connections!

July 24, 2019

The NRC is excited to let our stakeholders know that we’re launching a new centre, website, and brand to better reflect our new direction as a centre for nutrition knowledge and collaboration.

Our new centre and brand has been a collaborative effort from the start, and we couldn’t have done it without your feedback and suggestions, both informally and as part of our stakeholder surveys. We’d like to thank everyone who took the time to send us your thoughts as we move forward with our new directions.

With the support of The Helderleigh Foundation, we look forward to continuing to support health professionals, community organizations, educators, researchers, and others working in food and nutrition to build capacity, connect, and share information.

Under our new Nutrition Connections name, we will continue to provide services in many areas of nutrition and healthy eating. However, a particular focus of our work going forward will be food literacy, particularly among children and families.

With that in mind, stay tuned for the release of our upcoming State of Healthy Eating and Food Literacy in Ontario report series, starting later this summer. This series will identify gaps and opportunities to advance food literacy programs, policies, and practice in order to improve the food literacy, eating habits, and well-being of children, youth, and their parents or caregivers.

We’re also launching our new Consultation Services to support your work. Browse our new website to learn more about what we can offer you.

As always, we welcome your feedback.  Please do not hesitate to connect with our manager, Karen Gough, at kgough@opha.on.ca and let us know how we can best support you.
