Eating in Ontario, what do we know?

Watch this webinar to hear about the findings of two new reports warning of the long-term health risks, and the potential impacts on our healthcare system if steps are not taken to address unhealthy eating trends and strengthen food literacy in Ontario. In this presentation, we will discuss nutrients of concern, trends in vegetable, fruit and beverage intakes, and policy actions needed to improve eating behaviours.


Lynn Roblin

Lynn Roblin is a Registered Dietitian and former Senior Policy Consultant at Nutrition Connections – Ontario Public Health Association. Her expertise is promoting health through food literacy and healthy eating. Lynn has worked tirelessly to facilitate healthy eating and nutrition policies and programs at the local, provincial and national level. She has worked with provincial and federal governments, Dietitians of Canada, food marketing boards and industry as a consultant. Lynn was involved in the creation of the 1992 and 2007 Canada’s Food Guides with Health Canada. She has created numerous resources for consumers and professionals as well as popular cookbooks, including Suppertime Survival and Dietitians of Canada’s Great Food Fast. Lynn co-developed the Ontario Food and Nutrition Strategy with a collaborative group of food system players. She was a founding member of the Halton Food Council and a former board member of the Halton Fresh Food Box program. Lynn is currently involved in applied research to understand the state of healthy eating and food literacy in Ontario and Canada.
