Ontario Takes Steps to Ensure Surplus Food Does Not Go to Waste

The Ontario government is investing over $5 million to help food rescue organizations, First Nation communities and Indigenous organizations purchase refrigerated trucks, freezers, storage space and kitchen equipment so they can safely collect, preserve and distribute unused, high-quality surplus food to those in need during COVID-19.
