
Cook it. Try it. Like it! A Guide for Program Leaders
This is a British Columbia based guide for program leaders for an after-school food skills program designed to promote healthy eating habits by providing students with hands-on cooking experience and tasting of nutritious food. Students learn important concepts such as food handling and preparation skills, food safety, nutrition, grocery shopping, how food is grown and where it comes from. The program is designed for students in grades 4 to 7 but can be beneficial for all children.
