
Guidelines for Food and Beverage Sales in BC Schools
A toolkit guide used to support the implementation of “The Guidelines for Food and Beverage Sale in BC Schools” (the Guidelines) across the school setting. The Guidelines is a mandated provincial policy that apply to all food and beverages sold to students in school. Its purpose is to increase access to healthy foods while reducing access to unhealthy foods in public elementary, middle and secondary school settings. It is written based on best practice guidelines, best available nutrition evidence and the Eating Well with Canada’s Food Guide.
