Healthy Eating Manual
Originally developed in 1994 as part of the Health Action Plan by the Ontario Ministry of Health, and has been regularly updated. This is the 2011 version, revised and updated by the Nutrition Resource Centre with funding from the Ontario Ministry of Health.
Contains a series of ‘lessons’ on healthy eating and nutrition for use with existing and developing programs. Leaders may download and print mini-lessons as needed. Lesson topics include healthy eating basics, reducing dietary sodium and simple sugars, including whole grains and healthy fats, eating more vegetables, fruit and fibre, and healthy eating when dining out.
