Healthy Eating, Physical Activity and Healthy Weights Guidance Document

The Ontario Public Health Standards (OPHS) specify mandatory requirements for boards of health to implement various public health programs and services. OPHS are based on four principles: need, impact, capacity and partnership/collaboration. This particular guidance document, provides suggestions about OPHS requirements related to Healthy Eating, Physical Activity and Healthy Weights. Intent is to guide public health professionals in planning a comprehensive health promotion approach in accordance with the Health Protection and Promotion Act (HPPA) and Ontario Public Health Standards (OPHS).
