This fact sheet provides an overview of the state of food skills in Canada. It focuses on planning, transference of skills, knowledge, mechanical cooking skills and food conceptualisation skills.

Evidence presented in the fact sheet is summarized from two food skills modules (questionnaires) on Statistics Canada’s Canadian Community Health Survey – Annual Component (CCHS). Both modules were developed jointly by Health Canada and Statistics Canada. It is also available in English.
