
Shifting Gears: The Need to Address Healthy Eating, Physical Activity and Mental Health Together
This report provides the rationale underlying the importance of addressing healthy eating, physical activity and mental health by using comprehensive approach that includes individual and community level actions to support individuals in leading healthier lives. By presenting existing literature and statistical data for Waterloo region, the interconnections between healthy eating, physical activity and mental health are highlighted. Examples of current health promotion approaches that complement and contradict are also presented.
