Sodium Intake of Canadians in 2017
This report by Health Canada describes current sodium intakes of Canadians using the most recent national dietary survey, the 2015 Canadian Community Health Survey – Nutrition (2015 CCHS). Top food sources of dietary sodium are provided along with the impact of voluntary sodium reduction in processed foods on sodium intake. The current sodium intakes of most Canadians continue to be high, particularly among males, children, and adolescents.
