This report summarizes the findings of a regional food assessment, providing insight into the Stormont-Dundas-Glengarry (SD&G) regional food system and the supply of and demand for local and sustainable food from regional producers and processors and major community institutions respectively. Sections of the report explore: SD&G’s community profile, shifting attitudes towards food, community perspectives on SD&G food system, regional demand for and supply of local and sustainable food, challenges and opportunities and strategies for a stronger, more sustainable food system in SD&G.
