Student Nutrition Program Nutrition Guidelines, 2020
The Student Nutrition Program (SNP) Nutrition Guidelines helps schools provide nutritious meals and/or snacks to children and youth. It helps school program providers: create a food environment where all children and youth feel welcomed; shop for and select the best available foods with the most nutritional value; handle, store and prepare foods safely; and create simple menus for nutritious breakfasts, morning meals, lunches, and snacks for children and youth. These guidelines were created in 2008, and updated in 2016 and 2020.
